As part of a $74 million U.S. EPA-led cleanup effort at the American Cyanamid Superfund site in Bridgewater, DeWind was selected to install a hydraulic barrier wall to help contain contaminated groundwater. Using the Dewind Deep One Pass Trenching system, we constructed the wall along key areas of the property’s perimeter to prevent offsite migration of pollutants.
The groundwater was redirected to a newly constructed water treatment facility, scheduled for completion by year’s end. Our work played a critical role in supporting the broader effort to remove 55,000 cubic yards of toxic sludge from the Raritan River floodplain and ensure long-term environmental protection.
